This Privacy Policy describes how the Salva Chrome Extension ("Salva," "the Extension," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information. Salva is designed with your privacy as a top priority.
Salva operates entirely on your local device. **We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any of your personal data, chat content, browsing history, or any other information from your device or browser.**
The data accessed by Salva (your ChatGPT conversation content) is used solely for the purpose of generating the PDF file you request. This process occurs entirely within your browser's memory and is discarded once the PDF is generated and saved to your local machine.
Since Salva does not collect any data, there is no data to share with any third parties. Your conversations remain private to you.
Salva requests the following minimal permissions:
activeTab
: This permission allows Salva to temporarily access the content of the currently active tab *only when you explicitly click the Salva extension icon*. This is necessary to read the ChatGPT conversation and inject the export buttons. It does not grant access to your browsing history or other tabs.scripting
: This permission enables Salva to programmatically inject its necessary JavaScript code (for PDF generation and UI elements) into the ChatGPT webpage. It is used in conjunction with activeTab
and host_permissions
for secure and controlled execution.host_permissions
(to https://chatgpt.com/*
and https://chat.openai.com/*
): These permissions explicitly limit where Salva's scripts can run. This ensures the extension only interacts with the official ChatGPT domains, enhancing security and privacy by preventing access to unrelated websites. We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
